About YPIE
Millions of high achieving, low-income public school students across the US continue to fall further behind as they struggle to access a quality education that prepares them for college. Many students lack the academic rigor and the opportunities necessary to successfully earn a college degree that will prepare them for success in life. YPIE was launched in 2007 to support students in the YPS, the fourth largest school district in New York State. Since its inception, YPIE has grown into a robust organization that has served thousands of students in the district each year to support their dreams for college and successful careers.
YPIE's mission is to proliferate the number of YPS students graduating high school and eventually move onto college, with YPIE helping the students every step of the way. We believe that if students see that there are people who want to help them achieve their wildest dreams, they will encourage themselves and others to continue to prosper in life and see themselves evolve in a way that will leave everyone mesmerized. It is also a belief that post-secondary success is key to meaningful and lasting improvements that will help shape your life and the community around you.
The program YPIE has so far been a great experience. There are aspects in my life that are changing for the better. One of which would be in my academic studies. Specifically dealing in the subject of Algebra & where my test grades have very much improved. Math is one of the things of my academic studies I have always struggled with. The beginning of my ninth grade year was a challenge in terms of adjusting to high school & my math studies were at an all time low. This is to be only considered for the first marking period. The second marking period was okay. However, during the duration of the third marking period, I've noticed I've been doing well on my Algebra test. Considering that my lowest test grade was a 72, I've been doing very well. I have to partly thank YPIE for this change. With the assistance of YPIE with my algebra studies, I have been doing very well. There has been an increase in my social life, but overall, YPIE is a great program in terms of meeting new people from different high schools & in receiving assistance in your academic studies.
